Confront Lobi Stars In Super Four Clash

Federation Cup holder, Heartland Football Club of Owerri go into today’s match day three fixture against Lobi Stars of Makurdi in the Nigeria Premier League Super Four competition, with their eye firmly fixed on clinching the trophy.
Victory against the Makurdi based outfit will be enough for the Naze Milloniares to claim the title no matter the out tcome of the other game between Kano Pillars and Rangers.

Coach Ndubuisi Nduka`s men are currently top of the standings with four points with Pillars and Lobi joint second with three points.
Heartland were held to a 2-2 draw by Oreintal Brothers, Rangers International at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano.
Heartland who won their opening game 1-0 against Kano Pillars, took the lead when emerging striker sensation, Happy Okouka fired past the Coal City flying Antelopes goalkeeper.
The lead was short-lived as ex- Enyimba forward, Razak Adegbite, drew the CAF Champions League bound Rangers level before veteran David Tyakasse restored Heartland`s lead.

However, lanky Uche Oguche fired Rangers back into the game with a stunning equalizer which salvaged a point for each of the two ambitious clubs.
In the second match of the day 7, home side Kano Pillars came from behind to seal a comfortable 3-1 win over Lobi Stars.
Lobi Captain, Benedict Atule handed his side the lead when he converted a penalty kick. Pillars rallied round as Rabiu Ali drew the Baba Ganaru sqaud back into the game with a lovely finish.
Ali was to fire homers Pillars second goal on the night before Musa Mustapha sealed victory for the Pyramid city side with the third goal.
The result puts Pillars second on the log going into today`s last round of matches, where Pillars will slug it out with Rangers while Heartland will confront Lobi Stars in what looks like a replay of last year`s Federations Cup.
