...PROMISES KAITA RECALL

Super Eagles coach, Samson Siasia, has said he will recall midfielder Sani Kaita and striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni to the team once the team are winning again.
Kaita and Aiyegbeni were widely criticised for the Eagles below par showing at last year’s World Cup in South Africa.
While Kaita got a needless red card in a crucial group game against Greece, which the Eagles eventually lost 2-1, Aiyegbeni recorded one of the worst misses of the entire tournament in another important match against South Korea.

Both players are back at their best at their various European clubs, but Siasia said he would rather not take a chance on any of them until the team he is rebuilding start winning games.
“We will still bring back when the Eagles have started winning games and Nigerians are happy with the team generally,” he said.
“But now I’m afraid to do so because I do not wish Nigerians to be angry with us, I am just being careful.”
Kaita has been very apologetic about his sending off against Greece and told MTNFootball.com that he hoped Siasia will not use that unfortunate episode to shut the door of the national team against him.

Siasia also explained the late kick-off for the Ethiopia qualifier on March 27 in Abuja.
The match will kick off at 7pm local time.
“My players are based in Europe, which is a cold region, so we have decided the match should be played in the night when the weather is a lot cooler, to ensure our players they give their best,” he offered.
“We need the match more than anything else. If we play the match in the afternoon as usual then they may not last the distance and putting into consideration the fact that the Ethiopians are from a region where the weather is hot, an afternoon kick-off may not really affect them.”
