Ogunjobi hails Eagles super run at AFCON

Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi has declared that Super Eagles victory in yesterday’s Nations cup is a prove that indeed Nigeria has all that it takes to rule the world in the game of football.

Ogunjobi who spoke to complete sports moments after the Stephen Keshi tutored squad drilled a 1-0 defeat to Stallions of Burkina Faso in the final to lift her third AFCON title, said despite criticisms as a result of poor start to the tournament the team was able to bounce back to lift the trophy.

“As a patriotic Nigerian I cannot stop to congratulate the team for doing this great country proud”, starts Ogunjobi who was a former NFA General Secretary.

“They have made this country proud. They have proved that indeed Nigeria is the king of African football and we cannot stop to celebrate this victory coming 19-years after we won it in 1994 in Tunisia”.

Ogunjobi also heaped praises on the Nigeria Football Federation and the President Goodluck Jonathan led government of the federation for the tremendous support given to the team during the tournament.

“This is a victory for the entire country and credit must go to the NFF for the support given to the team.

“President Goodluck Jonathan must also share in this victorious moment because the government through the Sports Ministry rallied round the team leading to the victory”, Ogunjobi added.
